Help please, I’m so confused

Trapezoid ABCD has a height of 40ft and an area of 3140 square feet. Base 1 is 14 feet less than twice base 2. How long is base 1?

area = 1/2 * height ( base 1 + base 2)

base 1 = 2 * base 2 - 14

3140 = 1/2 * 40 (2 * base 2 - 14 + base 2)

6280 = 40 (3* base 2 - 14)

157 = 3 * base 2 - 14

base 2 = 57

base 1 = 2 * base 2 - 14

base 1 = 100
