asked 05/03/22Find mass of oxygen
A mixture consists of nitrogen and oxygen. Increasing the Gibbs free energy of the nitrogen by 22 J results in a decrease of 4 J/mol in the chemical potential of the oxygen. How many grams of oxygen are present in the mixture? (I get a negative number and mass can never be negative).

I have been an Engineering College Professor for over 10 years
The minus sign goes away because the increase of the Gibbs energy of N2 leads to a decrease in the Gibbs free energy of O2. The answer is 176 g.
