Let's say ABCD is a square with verttices (a,b), (c,d), (e,f) and (g,h)
Let P be (i,j)
then rotate it 270 degrees, counterclockwise.
IF ABCD is centered at the origin and P is the origin, (i,j) = (0,0) nothing changes, it's still the same square located in the same position. But the vertices switch positions to (e,f), (g,h), (i,j) and (a,b) That doesn't change the shape or position, just how you label the vertices
