sin(x+y) = sinxcosy + sinycosx
it's one of the sum and difference formulas for sines
the other formula is
sin(x-y) = sinxcosy - sinycosx
then there're the sum and difference formulas for cosines
cos(x+y) = cosxcosy - sinxsiny
cos(x-y) = cosxcosy + sinxsiny
