Parallel lines have the same slope. I drew a quick graph to show the how the quadrilateral will look like, you'll find AB looks like it's parallel to DC and AD is parallel to CB.
So, slope of AB = Change in Y / Change of X
= (-2 - 1) / (1- -3) = -3/4
Slope of DC = (-3 - 0) / (0 - -4) = -3/4
Since the slopes are equal AB is parallel to DC
Hope that helps
For Lines DA and CB:
Slope DA = (0 - 1) / (-4 - -3) = 1
Slope CB = (-3 - -2) / (0 -1) = 1
Those are equal to!
