We first need to calculate the mass of ethyl using the density formula D = m/V
According to the question, the density of ethyl is 0.79, and the volume of ethyl is 25 cm
m = D x V
Plug in the correct numbers and multiply
m = (0.79) x (25)
m = 19.75
Since we need to find the mass of the ethyl AND the graduated cylinder, we are going to add both masses together.
mass of ethyl = 19.75
mass of graduated cylinder = 44.28
Add together = 19.75 + 44.28 = 64.03 is the final answer :)
