Finding angles with trig

Find each angle measure to the nearest degree.


  1. sin A = 0.9659
  2. tan A = 0.1763
  3. sin X = 0.4067
  4. cos Z= 1.0000

Except for #4 (which you should know from memory), each of these requires a simple look up either in a table or using a scientific calculator.

The Tables too are still available on the internet such as https://math.tools/table/trigonometric/pdftable?format=pdf. This one had angle measurement in degrees and radians with increments of 1 degree and also featured all six trig functions for each angle. If one does not have a calculator or is trying to use that inverse key on a calculator a nice print out of this could be helpful. If you are duplexing you will need 8 sheets of paper though. Downloading it would save paper and is probably better.
