y=x is a straight line with slope = 1 and y intercept = (0,0)
any ordered pair where x= y is a solution
such as (0,0), (1,1), (2,2), (3,3), (4,4), (5,5), ....
there are an infinite number of real solutions, or also an infinite number of imaginary number solutions. x and y could be colors and there would be an infinite number of colors on the color spectrum that were solutions: (red, red), (blue, blue), (purple, purple), ....
