g(x) > f(x) means that the graph of g(x) is above the graph of f(x).
Put a vertical straight edge over the left side of the diagram and slowly move it to the right, noting which graph is above the other. At first, it is the curve. As you get to x = 3, the graphs intersect and the line is above the curve until they intersect again at x = 6.
In other words, g(x) > f(x) when 3 < x < 6
