Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
(x^2 +1)/x^2 - 4(x+1)/x + 6
=(x^2+1)/x^2 + (-4x-4)/x + 6x/x
= (x^2+1)x^2 + (-4x^2 - 4x)/x^2 + 6x^2/x^2
= [x^2 +1 -4x^2 -4x + 6x^2]/x^2
= (3x^2 -4x +1)/x^2
= (3x-1)(x-1)/x^2
It's not exactly the way you wrote the problem, but it's likely how you intended to write the problem, just missing some parentheses.
