Inverse Variation Word Problem and General Inverse Variation Question

In the inverse variation equation y = k/x, is it still inverse variation if the x is being multiplied by a number? For example: 10 = 20/5x

Would that still be inverse variation?

I also have a word problem I don't understand: If two painters can paint a room and a half in a day and a half, how long will it take five painters to paint 20 rooms?

2 painters do a room and a half in a day and a half.

that means the 2 painters paint 1 room in 1 day

1 painter takes twice as long, doing 1 room in 2 days

1 painter takes 2x20 = 40 days to do 20 rooms

5 painters do 20 rooms in 1/5 the time as 1 painter, or 40/5 = 8 days
