Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
387 plus and minus 19
= 368 to 406
Use the "empirical rule" 68-95-99.7, for 1, 2 and 3 standard deviations from the mean
68% of all data falls within 1 standard deviation from the mean
that's 387-19 to 387+19
or
368 to 406
95% falls within 2 standard deviations from the mean
99.7% falls within 3
or you can use z tables and get a more precise number. You can find z tables and z calculators on line. Just punch in the numbers and voila out pops the answer Or a scientific calculator with statistics functions works too, which also give you a graph.
real question though is how many standard deviations from the mean are you in age? there's actually no limit. It goes forever. Eternity.
