The slope of a line in ax + by = c form (called general form), is -a/b. 2x-y = 5 is in that form, where a = 2 and b = -1.
All lines parallel to that line have the same slope.
First determine equation of line in point-slope form: y - y1 = m(x - x1), where (x1,y1) is the coordinates of the point the line is passing through and m is the slope.
Use algebra to convert that form to general form.
