Methyl ethanoate would be the ester formed between ethanoic acid (acetic acid) and methanol.
ethanoic acid (acetic acid) = CH3COOH
methanol (methyl alcohol) = CH3OH
CH3COOH + CH3OH ==> CH3COOCH3 + H2O
