asked 01/07/22Is the answer A
Four students made observations about transformations. Which statement is true?
(A) Andrew: "The transformation (x, y)→ (x-5, y-2) applied to a line segment
yields a shorter line segment."
Boris: "The transformation (x,y)→(-y,x) applied to a line segment yields another line segment parallel to the first."
Carlie: "The transformation (x,y) → (x+y,x-y) applied to an angle yields an angle with a greater measure."
(D) Deborah: "The transformation (x,y)→(-x,y) applied to a circle yields a
congruent circle."

The answer would be D.
The transformation (x,y) to (-x,y) maps each point across the y-axis. i.e. a y-axis reflection.
So the resulting circle is a congruent circle reflected across the y-axis.
