please answer is that c or d

Which of these transformations will take parallelogram PQRS onto itself

(A) a reflection over the line * = -5 (B) a reflection over the line y = -

(c) a 180° clockwise rotation about the center of the parallelogram

(D) a 360° clockwise rotation about the center of the parallelogram

Mark M.

Have attempted any of the transformations in the choices?

There is no way you can fold a parallelogram so it maps onto itself so it does not have line symmetry. How many degrees would you have to rotate a parallelogram so it looks the same? Try seeing what happens when you rotate it 180 degrees. Since a 360 degree rotation will always bring the parallelogram back to its original position the parallelogram would look the same originally and after a 360 degree rotation.

Jon S.: The same for 180 degrees!

YES IT HAPPENS BOTH WITH 180 AND 360 BUT I HAVE TO CHOOSE ONE

The directions say which of these, not which one of these. You get to have both!

Is this particular parallelogram a rectangle? I only ask because if so then it possesses 2-fold symmetry and can be reflected onto itself as long as it's bisected by either of the lines mentioned in answers A and B, and because in strictest terms, a rotation of positive degrees is turned counterclockwise. If you can only choose one answer, I'd suggest taking a closer look at A and B.
