Br - CH = CH - Br + Br2 ==> Br2 - CH -CH - Br2
I believe the bromine adds across the double bond in halogenation of an alkene.

you have an alkene here did you mean halogenation of alkene? alkene has double bonds and alkyne has a triple bonds.12/21/21
