Yes, you are subtracting the top pyramid from the bottom pyramid. The two triangles are similar so, since the dimensions of the smaller are 1/2 those of the larger pyramid, it's volume is (1/2)^3 that of the larger.

So that means we can write it this way? Volume of small pyramid= 1/3 *1/2 (20)* 1/2(15)*5 and subtract it with the Volume of the total pyramid?
