a) No solution because we get contradiction: 2/5 = - 5/3, which is false
b) By squaring we get: 8 - 2x = x2 + 16x + 64. x2 + 18x + 56 = 0; (x + 4)(x + 14) = 0
x = - 4 or x = - 14.
X = -14 is extraneous solution and we reject it.
X = -4 only solution of this radical equation
