We are looking to find the fraction of the area formed by the central angle of 150 degrees, so we have 150/360ths of the circle. Now we can multiply the total area of this circle by the fraction of the circle we want to find
A (of whole circle) = pi * r^2 = pi * (6)^2 = 36 * pi
A (of sector) = 150/360 * A (of whole circle) = 150/360 * 36 * pi = 15 * pi
So, the area of our sector is 15pi.
