Pretty easy, Julie. Angles P and Q are equal in measure, and angles P + Q + R = 180°. Can you solve it from here?

David W.
The double curved lines mean they have the SAME VALUE. And, if you see a "stairstep," it means a right angle (90 degrees). The sum of the three angles of any triangle is 180 degrees, and since P+Q+R = 180 and P=Q, that means that 40+40+R=180. Easy to find R now.
