Patient with those who find learning English difficult.
The best books that I have seen and used for TOEFL are by the authors Gear and Gear. They have constantly updated the book; it is now in its fourth edition. It has tips, a great number of exercises and practice exercises (in the book and online), plus it comes with audio.

Kaplan, Princeton, and Barron´s are the best in my opinion!
There are also many fantastic and free websites such as Jumbo Tests, Test Magic, Udemy, and Skill Share!
Of course, a tutor to work with can also be very beneficial.
TOEFL is a test that follows a very specific format. Hence, you want to make sure you are preparing the right way and follow recommendations that are correct. Many publishing companies offer TOEFL Test Prep books that get the TOEFL integrated writing part completely wrong. Moreover, many materials have not been updated to reflect that the TOEFL speaking part now consists of 4 tasks instead of 6 tasks. If you see a book that still talks about the 6 TOEFL speaking tasks, you know that it is outdated. However, you can still use it, because out of the old 6 tasks, tasks 1 and 5 were removed; tasks 2, 3, 4, and 6 are still relevant.
Either way, I highly recommend the original ETS books and online resources, ETS is the test maker and I would only trust what the original test maker has published. There are currently 3 ETS books on the market (a blue one and two red ones) as well as the online TPOs you can purchase on the ETS website.
You can also buy graded practice tests on the ETS website, but you will never get detailed feedback on your speaking and writing; only an experienced tutor can do that for you.
