a CLADE is a group with a common ancestor.
So B and C do both have common ancestors, and are good candidates for being clades. D doesn't count because it's only one species, not a group. A doesn't, because while they do have a common ancestor (all life on earth does!), it's not a monophyletic group, that is, they have different intermediate ancestors.
