A sculpture on the shape of a square-based pyramid is being added to the courtyard of a building. A scale model of the sculpture has base sides of 5 feet and a height of 4 feet. Determine the volume of the actual sculpture, which will be scaled up by a factor of 6.

Would either 3,600 or 100 be correct?

Volume of original is 5x5x4 = 100

if ratio of sides is 6, then ratio of volumes is 6^3 = 216

so actual sculpture is 216 * 100 = 21600

Answer 2

The volume of the actual sculpture is 6³ times the volume of the model.
