What is the mass of each component?

An aqueous solutions means the solvent is water, H₂O.

If the mol fraction of CH₄O is 0.350, then the mol fraction of H₂O must be 1.000 - 0.350 = 0.650

Mass of CH₄O = 0.350 x 59.0 g = 20.6 g

Mass of H₂O = 0.650 x 59.0 g = 38.4 g
