From trignometric identities, cos 2x = cos 2x - sin2x and sin 2x = 2 sin x cos x. We can replace these as
cos 2x / [(sin 2x)/2]
and simplify to
(2 cos 2x)/(sin 2x)
(Since cot x = cos x/sin x, you could also write this as 2 cot 2x)
