Find and state the image of triangle ABC after a dilation of scale factor 1/2 through the point (-4,2) given A(-6,8), B(-2,0), C(4,2).

I believe there is a typo in this question as dilation is usually describes as "about a point" rather than through the point.
Dilation about any point:
Formula: Dx,y = (h + t(x - h), k + t(y - k)) where (h,k) represents the point dilated about, t is the scale factor, and (x,y) are the 3 given points for the triangle.
Dilation of A(-6,8) about (-4,2).
Dx = -4 + 1/2(-6 + 4) = -4 - 1 = -5
Dy = 2 + 1/2(8 - 2) = 2 + 2 = 4
Therefore A'(-5, 4)
Because this is a tutoring site, that should be enough information to find B' and C'.
