48m^2 = 118m - 55
48m^2 -118m +55 = 0
(6m-11)(8m-5) = 0
BUT you have +55 on the right side, not -55 That's probably a typo
if you can't see factors with trial and error using integer factors of the constant and squared term coefficient, try completing the square or the quadratic formula
48m^2 - 118m -55 = 0
m=118/96 + or - (1/96)sqr(118^2 +4(48)(55))
= about 2.86 or -0.4
factors 48(m+.4)(m-2.86)
this seems unlikely. Odds are good the problem had a -55 not a +55
