Part 1: Which of the following salts produces a basic solution in water: NaF, KCl, NH4Cl? Choose all that apply.
a. NaF
b. KCl
c. NH4Cl
d. None of the choices will form a basic solution.
Part 2: Write the reaction responsible for the solution being basic. Do not include spectator ions.
If you chose multiple solutions in part 1, then write the reaction for the most basic solution.
*I know the answer to Part 1 is (a) and I thought the answer to Part 2 was F- (aq) + H2O (l) --> HF (aq) + OH-(aq) but apparently it is not, so please help*

I agree with your assessment for both parts. Not sure why you say the answer to Part 2 is not correct. Did someone tell you that? Was it not accepted by the "computer"? It seems correct to me. It is simply the hydrolysis of the fluoride anion.
