Question

For every pound of flour a baker adds 2.2 oz. of additives. If there is 15% of additive A, 25% of additive B and 60% of additive C how many ounces of each additive will be added per pound?

Answer 1

.15 x 2.2 = .33 ounces of additive A per pound

.25 x 2.2 = .55 ounces of additive B per pound

.60 x 2.2 = 1.32 ounces of additive C per pound

.33 + .55 + 1.32 = 2.2
