The standard form of the equation for a straight line is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. The vlaues of m and b are provided, so:
y = 3x-2

So, we start at the y-intercept, (0,-2). The slope is known as rise/run. Since 3 = 3/1, we go up 3 and right 1 to (1,1). The next point is (4,2), etc.
Now, if you have a graph with all four quadrants, remember that -3/-1 also equals 3, so you can go down 3 and left 1 to (-5,-1) and again to (-8,-2), etc.
Once you graph at least 3 points, you should have a straight line running through them.
