Today it is hard to find the true definition of a spark. There are so many things that have adopted this word as an acronym or word to symbolize the actual physical property of a spark, to adopt it's idea,it's force and concept. When we look for a definition, we are bombarded with a host of conceptual products and services that claim to represent the embodiment of what a spark is! Merriam Webster defines a spark as : " 1a: a small particle of a burning substance thrown out by a body in combustion or remaining when combustion is nearly completed b: a hot glowing particle struck from a larger mass especially : one heated by friction 2a: a luminous disruptive electrical discharge of very short duration between two conductors separated by a gas (such as air)." A spark is energy, it is formed by one mass hitting another, or when friction causes it to explosively be expelled from the larger hot or heated mass. A spark in common terms, is when we feel an undeniable energy of an idea, or a thought that we have to throw out there into the arena of conversation and brainstorming. A spark is so much more, and thanks to its natural property of explosive energy in a minute space and size, we now have bursts of electrical activity, thought processes, amazing companies that employ the idea of what it means to see or experience a "spark" and creative sparks of invention all around. Truly the small spark has created a much bigger impact on processes that truly have grown from it's small size, than it could ever have imagined.
