Trigonometry Identity Simple question

Hi, it may be a simple misunderstanding of how to work out numerator/denomiator fractions, but confused with the following. Why does (1+\tan x)/(1-\tan x)=(1-\tan x+2\tan x)/(1-\tan x)?

hi, thanks for the reply, im doing a trig identity question and in the working out of my tutor, he shows that (1+tan theta)/(1-tan theta) is === to (1 - tan theta + 2 tan theta) / (1 - tan theta) ? I was wondering how it was possible to get (1 - tan theta + 2 tan theta) from the first equation please?
