Hi,
For finding vertical asymptote in any function, you need to solve equation of denominator.
y = cot x = cosx / sinx in this case denominator is sinx = 0
sinx = 0 -----> x = 0, Π, 2Π in one unit circle, in fact these answers belong to [0. 2Π]
x= 0 x = Π and x = 2Π are vertical asymptotes
Be careful, if your question is finding asymptotes in one period THE ONLY ANSWERS ARE x= 0 x = Π
you know the period of cotx is (0,Π)
