Julia traveled 360 kilometers to get to underground caves. On her way home, she traveled twice as fast. What was Julia's average speed on the way to the caves and on the way back home if the total time was 10 hours?

360 times 2 in 10 hours is an average 36x2 = 72 kmh

speed times time = distance

t = 360/(72-x)

the two speeds are equidistant to the average speed

72+x = 2(72-x)

72+x = 144-2x

3x = 144-72 = 72

x = 72/3 = 24

72+24 = 96 kmh

72-24 = 48 kmh

t = 360/48 = 7.5 hours at 48

10-t = 2.5 hours at 96

twice as fast and 3 times shorter time
