2 1/2 % = 2.5% = 0.025 (move the decimal point left two digits)

880 x 0.025 = 0.22 = 22% (move the decimal 2 digits to the right)

use a calculator or long multiplication

or you might just notice

1% = 8.8

2%= 2(8.8) = 17.6

1/2 % =8.8/2 = 4.4

2 1/2% = 17.6+4.4 = 22

When you have percent problems, you can basically multipy

2.5% of 880 is 2.5%*880 = 22
