1)                            What is the height of a tree if the end of its shadow is 70 feet from the trunk when the sun is 60 degrees  above the horizon. Round to the nearest foot.

let y = the height of the tree.

tan(60°) = y/70

y = 70tan(60°)= 70√3 ≈ 121 feet
