-2 = 4x

-1/2 = x

x =-2 or -1. the parabola crosses the x axi at (-1,0) and (-2,0)

or

2x+1=0

x =-1/2 the line crosses the x axis at (-1/2, 0)

if you really mean x+3x+2

although it looks like it may be a typo with a 2 exponent missing from the first x term
