You are hiking near a big crater. While standing at point 𝐴, you measure a right angle between points 𝐵 and 𝐶. You then walk to 𝐵, which is on the same side of the crater as 𝐴. From 𝐵, there is a 70 degree angle between 𝐴 and 𝐶. The distance between 𝐴 and 𝐵 is 3 miles. How wide is the crater between 𝐴 and 𝐶? Report your answer to the nearest tenth of a mile

tan20 = 3/AC
AC = 3/tan20 = about 8.24 miles
tan70 = AC/3
AC = 3tan70 = 8.24 miles
