Presumably these are the lengths of a triangle.
Add the 3 binomials for the length and set the sum equal to 185.
Solve the linear equation in x.
Use the answer to compute the lengths.

Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
2x+3 + 43x -1 + 4x +3 = 185
49x = 185-3+1-3 = 180
x = 180/49 = about 3.7
2x+3 = 7.4+ 3 = 10.4 feet
43x-1 = 43(3.7)-1 = 158.1 feet
4x+3 = 4(3.7)+3 = 12.8+3 = 15.8 feet
this is impossible. No side of a triangle can be longer than the sum of the other 2 sides
158.1 > 10.2 +15.8
unless you're in some higher dimensional curved warped non-Euclidian space. More likely there's a typo in the problem. the 43 looks very suspicious
43x-1 > 2x+3 +4x+3
37x > 7
x>7/37
3.7 > 7/37
