Complementary angles add up to 90°.
So we can say angle1 + angle2 = 90°
angle1 is 6 less than 2 times angle2, If we made this into an equation we would have angle1 = 2*angle2 − 6.
We can then subsitute this equation into the underlined equation above. So we will have...
(2*angle2 − 6) + angle2 = 90
2*angle2 + angle2 = 90 + 6 = 96. ....... added 6 to both sides of the equation
3*angle2 = 96
angle2 = 96÷3 = 32 ........ divided by 3 on both sides of the equation.
Now we know angle2 = 32°, and angle1 = 90° − angle2, which is 90° − 32°
So angle1 = 58°
The final answer will be 32°, 58°
