Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
y-(4-x - y/2)
x=3, y=2
2-(4-3 -2/2) = 2-(1-1) = 2-0= 2
the expression = 2
(UNLESS you really meant to write y-[(4-x-y)/2] then 2-(4-3-2)/2 = 2-(-1/2)= 2+1/2 = 2 1/2
But PEMDAS, order of operations has D before S. Division comes before Subtraction.
to get 2.5, it should have been written with a 2nd set of parentheses. What's inside parentheses
comes first. P before D or S)
