faces = 5 faces of cube (all but top) + 4 triangles from top = 5 + 4 = 9

edges = 12 edges of cube + 4 edges of pyramid = 16

vertices = 8 vertices of cube + 1 vertex of pyramid = 9

Check using Euler's formula: v + f - 2 = 9 + 9 - 2 = 16 = e
