Take the ∆G of the sum of products and subtract the sum of the reactants.
Products:
(2 x -127.1) + (-938.2) = -254.2 + -938.2 = -1192.4 kJ/mol
Reactants:
(2 x -101.7) + (-795.8) = -203.4 + -795.8 = -999.2 kJ/mol
∆Greaction = Products - reactants = -1192.4 - (-999.2) = -193.2 kJ/mol
Because ∆G is negative, the reaction is favorable.
