Since the base is 2, choose values of x that are powers of 2 and use the property that log₂(2^x) = x

So, if x = 1 = 2⁰, then y = log₂(2⁰) = 0

if x = 2, then y = 1

if x = 4 = 2², then y = 2

if x = 8 = 2³, then y = 3

if x = 1/2 = 2^-1, then y = -1 etc
