Shelly, without seeing your putting stroke, I really can't recommend either a blade or a mallet style putter. However, what I can recommend is that you get your putter fitted to your height. By that I mean, you state that you are 5' 3" tall and your putter is 34" in length. Your putter is too long for you. I would suggest that you have your putter cut down to 33" in length. I think you will find putting more comfortable and more on line to your target. I have some great drills for getting the ball to the hole consistently if you would like to discuss further.
