Hello Jacob,
The choice to add additional clubs to the bag is one that is going to be a result of a direct need. When a person adds a GAP wedge to the bag they are usually in a position where they are in-between distances on their wedges. I tend to find that my students do better with a 2 or 3 hybrid rather than a 5 wood as it is easier to gain loft and accuracy from the fairway.
In my view I would consider a 2 or 3 hybrid club and a lob (60 degree) wedge. The hybrids will give you more flexibility off the tee and fairway and the lob wedge will give you that needed zone play from 60 yards in....the money zone I like to call it.
If you are dead set on a 5 wood and a wedge my advice would be the lob wedge. The gap is just designed to do exactly what it says, fit the GAP between a sand wedge and a lob wedge. Unless you are experiencing that unique situation of being in between wedges the lob wedge is a great short game tool to have in the bag.
Hope this was helpful.
