This is a trig question. You will "stand" at the 60 degree angle, look straight across at the "opposite" leg, and notice you need to solve for the "adjacent" (height) leg. So you will be using Tangent. Tangent = opposite/adjacent.
- Tangent 60 = 8/h
- multiply both sides by h and divide both sides by tangent 60 to isolate the h
- h = 8/tan 60
- h = 4.62 feet
Does the set up make sense to you? You need to be able to "walk around the triangle" to the place you need to be to solve for the missing leg using what you have been given.
