In the accompanying diagram of parallelogram HIJK, the measure of I =118 and the measure of MKJ=36. Is KM perpendicular to side IJ? Explain your reasoning.

seeing M is interior point of IJ ,,, angle JMK is 72 degrees, since angle J is 72 degrees (parallelogram supplement angle of I) and given MKJ=36. Since in triangle MKJ, angle JMK=1800-(MJK+JKM)=180-(72+36)=72. oh look, we have created an isosceles triangle MKJ. Therefore since JMK not equal to 90 degrees, the line KM is not perpendicular to IJ.
