Difficult to "draw" on this platform, but here's what the Lewis dot structure would look like for CaI2.
Ca loses 2 electrons to become Ca2+ (no dots around the Ca)
There are 2 I atoms and each one gains an electron to become I-. Each I used to have 7 valence electrons so now each has 8 electrons. So the Lewis dot would look something like this...
